I’m a really big advocate of cognitive behavioral therapy. However, if SAD is biochemically caused by a lack of daylight, all the talking in the world is not going to fix that. You need daylight to fix that.
Talking, and getting a new perspective on things might relieve some of the circumstantial causes for your depression, true, and good. However, please do not use this and related news articles to blow off light therapy as an effective treatment for SAD and non seasonal depression.
